New adoptable dog: BUSTER

Buster crawled out from under an abandoned cabin at the beginning of June, emaciated, terrified, and with a badly broken jaw. In spite of his fear and the incredible amount of pain he was in, he has always been incredibly sweet and gentle. We’ve had him in foster care for 2 months now, with many vet trips to help him heal, and to treat abscesses and infections that resulted from the jaw break. He’s missing a few teeth, and his poor head will always be a bit misshapen due to the nature of the breaks in his jaw (yes, more than one place), but he is now healthy, happy, and ready to go to a fabulous forever home!

Look who went to their new homes on 4/30!

4/30/11 Adoptees

Today was our monthly transport closer to Seattle. Six lucky pets joined their new families today, with everyone meeting in Monroe!

HOSS spent the whole 6-hour drive barking excitedly at every vehicle (particularly white pickup trucks) and person we passed! He was absolutely THRILLED to meet his forever-playmate Sky, and took to his people right away. (They wisely brought him a gentle leader harness, which immediately helped curb his over-enthusiastic approach to, well, everything). He’s in just the right place, with a dog that is as joyful as he is, and people who can give him the perfect combination of love and training. YAY!

MELINDA and FANTASIA, now known as SHADOW and SHILO, got to go to a home together, where they are going to have a girl of their own to play with; they will love that.

New adoptable cat: Buster

Buster is a super friendly and huggable juvenile boy who arrived as a stray. It’s hard to believe no one ever came looking for him, but that means this fantastic cat is ready to become YOUR new best friend. He has a sunny disposition, seems to enjoy the company of other cats, and adores every human he meets. We’ve estimated his birth date as 6/1/10. Can you help Buster find his forever home before his first birthday this June?
