Introducing April

April is a gentle, loving Pomeranian mix enjoying the comforts of a foster home while she waits for the forever retirement home she truly deserves. After being passed through three homes—each time due to circumstances beyond her control—April is hoping the next chapter is her happily-ever-after.

Her foster mom describes her as a happy, affectionate little companion who just wants to be close to her person. April loves to snuggle, sleeps soundly on the bed (using her trusty ramp to get up and down), and brings calm, comforting energy to the home. Though she adores being near her human, she’s also perfectly well-behaved when left alone for errands, always greeting you with a burst of joy when you return.

She treasures her "things" including her special lamb toy, and her current giant bone! She rides beautifully in a car and is generally an easy-keeper.

At about 20 pounds, April is currently a bit overweight for her frame. Her ideal weight is around 12 pounds, and her foster is helping her make slow, steady progress toward that goal, ensuring she stays healthy and comfortable in her golden years.

April’s sunny personality and soulful eyes win over everyone she meets. She’s looking for a quiet, loving home where she can be someone's loyal lap dog for the rest of her life. If you're searching for a calm, sweet companion to share your heart and home, April might just be your perfect match.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for April is a suggested minimum of $85 or Senior for Senior (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
