Meet Bennie! Loyal, lovable, and full of Life!

Bennie is a playful, silly Rhodesian Ridgeback/Husky/Heinz 57 boy, born about 1/1/25, who’s bursting with energy and affection! He loves to be where his people are and would happily follow you from room to room just to be close. Whether it’s chasing toys, getting a good back scratch, or just hanging out at your side, Bennie’s happiest when he’s part of the action.

Because of his past, Bennie can be a little protective of his people and his favorite things. He’s learning that love isn’t something he has to guard, but he’ll thrive in a home where he gets lots of attention and gentle guidance. He’s a true companion dog who bonds deeply and loves hard.

Bennie does well with cats and may do okay with younger or more playful dogs, but he’s not the best match for senior pups who need a calmer pace. His playful energy and goofy personality would be perfect in a home that can match his loving spirit.

He weighs just a bit under 50 pounds, and is great about his potty training with only an occasional "oops" during the long overnight period in his shelter kennel.

If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a toy enthusiast, and a buddy who’s always up for snuggles and play, Bennies ready to fill your life with tail wags and joy.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bennie is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
