Introducing Myrtle

This beautiful girl arrived as an apparently abandoned dog, found with a few other dogs at a vacant remote property. We are guessing she is about 4 years old, and she looks like she has some spaniel and some retriever in the mix. It all adds up to about 40 pounds of love-bug!

Myrtle is dominant with other dogs so would do best as an only dog in the family. She has exhibited a friendly attitude toward the office cats. She hungers for attention from humans and just soaks up all the love she can get. Because of her time having been abandoned, she is protective of her food, so we recommend feeding her separately and at specific times of day, without leaving food down for free-feeding.

Her exercise needs are moderate, and her main ambition in life is to be wherever the people are. She'd love to be your right-hand-dog, going with you everywhere she's allowed.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Myrtle is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
