Charlie is a wonderful, energetic dog who is ready to bring joy and activity into a loving home. He’s housetrained, weighs about 57 pounds, and has shown himself to be a truly affectionate and playful companion.

Charlie is an incredibly loving dog who bonds deeply with his people. He adores cuddles and attention, but he does experience a bit of separation anxiety, so he’ll thrive best in a home where someone is around often or with a patient adopter willing to work on building his confidence. He gets along well with cats and other dogs, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household.

One thing we cannot emphasize enough: Charlie loooooves to play fetch! It’s his absolute favorite activity—he lives for chasing that ball and bringing it back for more. However, his high energy level means he’ll need plenty of exercise, playtime, and consistent training to channel that enthusiasm positively and help him become the best version of himself.

Don’t let his lumpy-bumpy head turn you away; he looks a little different due to benign dermoid cysts on his head, some of which were removed and others left in place due to a risk to his vision if removed. He doesn’t know he’s different, and it doesn’t bother him one bit!

What Charlie wants most is simple: an active family to play endless games of fetch with, a cozy spot to snuggle after adventures, and humans who will give him the love, structure, and patience he needs to flourish.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Charlie is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
