Lickity 2164

7 months old  ·  Adoptable  ·  $150

Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application. Please do not call the shelter; do the application first.

Lickity is a smart, energetic Catahoula mix born on 4/22/25, and she’s overflowing with enthusiasm for life. She adores everyone she meets — people, dogs, and even confident, dog-savvy cats. This spirited girl is no couch potato; she’s all about ACTION and can’t wait to team up with someone who will help her reach her full potential.

Whether you’re looking for a hunting partner, an agility prospect, a jogging buddy, or a canine companion who loves to learn, Lickity is the kind of dog who can do it all. With her sharp mind and eager attitude, the sky truly is the limit.

When she first arrived she had zero training, yet she’s already picked up the basics of housetraining and fetch like a pro. She’ll thrive with an adopter committed to daily exercise and consistent training to help channel her puppy energy into good manners and fun, productive activities.

Lickity loves using her brain. She’s the type of dog who might excel at advanced obedience, scent work, trick training… maybe even those “talking button” videos! She is happiest when she’s learning, engaging, and being part of an active family’s routine.

With other pets, Lickity is friendly and respectful, though her high energy means a nervous kitty might get interpreted as a fun game of chase. However, she was very polite with one of our resident dog-friendly cats, so with proper introductions, she should do well with confident felines.

Because she can be a bit “mouthy” when playing (classic smart puppy behavior!), she’d do best in a home with older children or adults who can help her keep practicing good manners. She’s also learning to walk nicely on leash and would love someone who will continue showing her the world. Lickity currently weighs about 60 pounds, and will likely put on a few more pounds as she grows into adulthood.

If you’re searching for a clever, enthusiastic adventure buddy who’s ready to learn anything you want to teach her, Lickity just might be your perfect match.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Lickity is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
