Atlantic C1908

3 years old · Adopted

Atlantic originally arrived with four tiny kittens in tow. She was a very devoted and protective mother, and now that her kittens have all grown up and moved to their own forever homes, we promised Atlantic we'd try to find just the right fit for her.

You'd THINK it would be easy - a lovely shorthaired tabby girl, just 2 years old, with a playful nature and good mousing skills.

HOWEVER, she has a sneaky little semi-hidden character flaw... she is easily overstimulated, and accept petting only on her terms and for as long as she feels like it - when she's had enough of you, she will let you know!

Our devoted Carrie volunteered to be the video subject of Atlantic's sporadic wrath, so you can see her behavior for yourself in the video.

Not surprising, but Atlantic is not a big fan of other cats or dogs. She pretty much wants an adult home that will treat her as an equal, to be respected, worshipped, fed, played with (wand toys for the win), and ignored if she tells you she's had enough of you for today.

Just the type of self-assured independent cat I've always loved! Too bad my "cattitude position" is already filled... but Atlantic will be delighted to accept a cattitude opening at your household!

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Atlantic is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
