Tux, a handsome mini-panther boy born 5/30/2024 has been at the shelter for over a year, and has shown some depression and a regression from his previously social nature. We are adding him to our Shy Cat Special as he will likely need some extra time, once finally invited to a forever home, to realize his long, lonely wait is over.

He’s not big on cuddling or sitting in laps, but Tux does enjoy affection and is always happy to lean in for a good round of pets. When he’s in play mode, he’s a total goofball, leaping, pouncing, and cracking you up with his antics.

Tux also has a natural hunter’s drive and would probably thrive in a home where he can exercise those instincts (or chase the occasional fly for sport). Prior to his regression, he seemed curious, clever, and full of charm.

Tux is great with other cats; dogs are NOT his cup of tea.

We think Tux will blossom into a lovely companion again, and will thrive in a home that can give him the time and comfort needed to realize life is good and he is loved.

We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Tux SHY CAT SPECIAL is a suggested minimum of $20 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
