Introducing Lexie

This poor senior girl, 10 years old, has had her whole world thrown into upheaval. From the time her people brought her home as a kitten, she lived primarily outside on a big rural property where she could be queen of her domain. She knew all the people, she knew the best snoozing spots, she knew the lovely outbuilding where she felt safe and secure. Then, all of that was taken from her when her people had to move away without her.

Now, she is trying to navigate all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people in the shelter, at a time in her life when she should just be allowed to relax in a sunspot and idly think about chasing that bluejay off the property.

Lexie, to put it mildly, is discombobulated and a bit distraught. Her former person reported she has always been good with children and dogs, though in our initial dog test Lexie showed us she really does NOT care for them. She has never lived with other cats before. We are still working on integrating her into the shelter cat buildings, so will report back on whether she is willing to be friends with another feline. We just wanted to get her listing up as soon as possible because every minute spent in the shelter, is another minute Lexie can't ever spend in her favorite sun spot.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Lexie is a suggested minimum of $35 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
