Meet Hook – Your Very Own Mini Black Panther

At 9 years young, Hook is a distinguished gentleman with the perfect balance of independence and affection. With his sleek black coat and soulful eyes, this handsome "young senior" is a confident, curious, and loyal companion.

In his previous home, Hook enjoyed the best of both worlds: cozy indoor snuggles and adventurous outdoor strolls. He loved bedtime cuddles with his dad, morning chats over breakfast, and then spent parts of the day patrolling the neighborhood (never straying too far from home).

Hook has a bit of a selective social circle when it comes to other cats. He’s not a fan of every feline, but he’s been known to make a few close kitty friends (one he even invited home once!). At the shelter, he's been tolerant and even friendly with several cats of different ages, so with a slow and proper introduction, he could happily share a home with another laid-back cat. Dogs? Not really his style.

This playful guy still loves to chase a wand toy or laser dot, and a sprig of fresh catnip makes his day. He’s an "easy keeper" who enjoys sleeping on the bed with his human and just being part of the household rhythm. While he’d likely adjust well to an indoor-only life, especially with plenty of windows, high perches, and maybe a catio, Hook is also experienced and savvy enough to safely enjoy a bit of outdoor time.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Hook is a suggested minimum of $35 or Senior for Senior (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
