Semi is a beautiful border collie/blackmouth cur mix girl, born 11/6/22.

She has the perfect combination of intelligence, high energy, and affection. We think she will be a great addition to any active family, and should be fun to train and a great candidate for activities like agility, parkour, nosework, tricks... the possibilities are endless!

Semi is housetrained. She will chase cats if they run, but would probably learn to live with a dog-savvy cat that will let Semi know KITTIES RULE. Semi would enjoy having a similarly playful and energetic dog friend. She's super smart and loves learning new commands - all she needs is the consistency of the people in her forever home.

Her biggest challenges right now are her tendency to jump up on people - she just is SO excited to see you and to get some love and attention - and her desire to chase cars (which means she would need a fenced yard, or to not be outdoors off leash in areas with chaseables like cars, cats, squirrels, etc until her family has 100% trained recall).

She is also somewhat human-selective - she loves the people she loves, and she dislikes others, and until you meet her you won't know which side of her human-radar you fall on! She's not a big fan of small children - though she can learn to love HER children, she would NOT approve of them having their friends running around the house and yard, so we recommend no children in the home under teenage years. Due to her choosiness about her future roommates, we'd love for you to come meet Semi in Republic prior to adoption.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Semi is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
