Granby C1809

6 years old · Adopted

Granby is a lovely 4 year old long-haired tabby who arrived at the shelter as a stray with 3 little waifs in tow. Once those three babies were weaned, Granby volunteered to help care for several orphaned kittens - no empty nest for her, she loves being a mama! We really appreciate your help, Granby, job well done.

The orphans are weaned and Granby is spayed and ready to head home.

Granby has had a pretty comprehensive shave done because her coat was terribly matted (it's hard to do self-care when one is a homeless single mama just trying to survive). Her fur will grow back and be lovely again, and will just take a few minutes of brushing every other day or so to keep it in tip-top shape. In fact, most of it has grown back in - I promise we'll get new photos of you, Granby, to show your true beauty.

She is a friendly, social cat who would thrive in pretty much any sort of family. She could do well as an indoor-only kitty, or could manage an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. We have seen her touch noses with dogs through the mesh on her catio, so she will probably adapt fine to a family with polite cat-loving dogs. She probably has some fine mousing skills, too, having been on her own with her babies - mama's gotta eat, so mousies beware!

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Granby is a suggested minimum of $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
