Suki is a lovely big 90-pound 2 year old Anatolian shepherd mix who found herself at the shelter because she developed a taste for chicken... unfortunately, live chicken belonging to the neighbors. Oops. She absolutely adores people of all ages, and her former owner reports she is good with other dogs, but not with cats (that chicken prey drive probably translates to cats, chipmunks, squirrels - all the squeaky toys).
Speaking of toys, Suki loves toys - and she can destroy them all gleefully. Tough chewers and antlers are probably best for this happy girl! She is housetrained, which was a pleasant surprise since she had been kept as an outside only dog, in charge of her goat flock. Turns out she is much better suited to be a loving family dog.
All the volunteers adore her, she is an easy keeper at the shelter and seems to be a happy-go-lucky soul full of joy. She will be a fantastic companion for all your adventures.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our transport expenses, that would be great!
