Toby 1535

Who is looking for a silly, goofy, adorable clown to bring them smiles every day? Toby is a 10 year old pug/Boston terrier mix who weighs about 28 pounds. He is mostly deaf, with a sunny disposition and a great love of treats.

Toby is housetrained and previously shared his home peacefully with a tiny chihuahua. When meeting big dogs at the shelter, he believes he is the same size as them, HA! Toby just moved into a foster home with a bigger dog and so far is doing just fine. He is outgoing and tons of fun, doesn't know many commands (or perhaps he just can no longer hear them), but he is so treat motivated you may have great fun teaching him hand signal commands.

He has had a full geriatric blood panel which did not show anything overly concerning - slightly high liver enzymes, but that is pretty normal for a senior. Toby has had a dental cleaning and also soft palate surgery to help correct his "snorkeling" - he is breathing much better now!

About the only thing Toby does NOT like is being crated for car rides. If you want a ride along doggo, you may want to invest in a seatbelt harness so he can ride shotgun without being crated.

The video shows him with his former roommate, who has since been adopted. His tail simply never stops wagging - his heart is full of joy.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted), or Senior for Senior - adopters over 65 may name their own adoption fee. All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our transport expenses, that would be great!
