Dundee is a perfect example of the happy-go-lucky dog. In spite of having a tumultuous first 8 years which found her, through no fault of her own, going through at least 4 or 5 different homes, this 8 year old basset/beagle/who-knows-what mix has a joyful demeanor, loves attention, is reportedly good with cats, dogs, and children, and her only weakness seems to be a love of chasing chickens.
With her adorable short basset legs, Dundee enjoys a stroll, but is never going to ask you to go jogging with her. She is a sturdy girl, weighing in at just over 40 pounds, and loves snuggles, belly rubs, and couch time. She is housetrained and, as a gal who has mastered the art of "eh, whatever, roll with it" she should integrate fairly quickly into pretty much any loving household.
Before placement, Dundee will be receiving a full geriatric panel and, if the vet indicates it's warranted, a dental cleaning, in addition to our normal vaccinations and dewormer.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted), or Senior for Senior - adopters over 65 may name their own adoption fee. All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. The trial period can be extended if he has not settled in within the first 30 days - sometimes it can take 2 months for a particularly timid dog to relax enough to fit in.
