Potato 1470

Potato is the only pup in the Holiday Treats litter that was not claimed by an applicant already on our puppy-wanted waiting list! That gives YOU a chance to be his lucky family.

He was born 10/30/20 and came to the shelter with his siblings as part of our Stop the Cycle program (mother is spayed at our cost and returned to owner). He is one of the bigger pups in the litter, and may grow to 50-60 pounds (though that is just a guess). We know the mom has pitbull in her mix along with some other random cuteness, and the dad is suspected to be a kelpie that lives in the neighborhood.

Potato is very social, affectionate, and playful, and should make a great companion. He should adapt to a home with other pets and/or children, and will do best as an indoor family dog.

The video shows Potato playing with his siblings. This is such a wonderful litter, so well socialized and ready to become part of the family.

Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic (if fairly short - those legs are tiny) walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. They hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet, and will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty!

All puppies arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our transport expenses, that would be great!
