Aspen 1412

Introducing Aspen, a 55 pound blonde beauty, whose estimated date of birth is 9/11/2019. This lovely husky pitbull mix was surrendered to us by no fault of her own. Her owner's physical disabilities made it impossible for her to provide the necessary exercise and care required for Aspen.

Aspen knows her basics; sit, lay down, and easy (when taking a treat). She is potty and kennel trained. She is moderately good with other dogs, cats and kids. She does seem to be a bit of an alpha in the play group and will guard her food from other dogs, and has a fairly high prey drive so needs confident kitties if they are to share her home. When Aspen gets excited she tends to jump up on you. This would be when you first let her out of the kennel or in from outside, so she may not be suited for small children or children who are not already dog savvy.

Aspen has a lot of energy, making a great hiking/running companion, and she can also relax and lay quietly next to you as well. When out and about for walks, she can be reactive to other animals she encounters, so could use a strong and experienced partner to help her navigate the world with less stress. She is extremely smart and quickly learns what is expected of her and does her best to comply with minimal reminders. Aspen has been on two trial placements, but has more energy than the potential adopters want to handle - which means she is going to be just perfect for you, the person on the go, the dog-parent that wants an enthusiastic partner to run the hills and ride shotgun for adventures. This girl has brains and beauty and is ready to find her forever home!

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Aspen is a suggested minimum of $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
