Daisy 1375

Introducing Daisy, a pomchi mix whose date of birth is estimated to be 02/25/2014. Daisy was brought into the shelter with 4 other pomchis, a lab and 7 kitties. These pets originated from a hoarding situation with an owner who meant well and loved them but was unable to properly care for them or socialize them. Since arriving at the shelter, they have begun learning about baths, grooming, smelling clean air, and having clean food and water. They are coming along beautifully and will continue making great progress when they have homes of their own with patient people who are looking forward to providing them with wonderful new experiences.

Daisy came in the worst condition; extremely overweight at 24 lbs and was covered in poo filled mats. As you can see, we had to shave her to get her cleaned up. She has lost over a pound and is becoming much more active. We did have her tested to make sure there were no underlying conditions for the obesity and she was given a clean bill of health. Daisy is a happy girl and “smiles” when she gets excited. She enjoys sun bathing, short walks, and cuddles in a lap. Daisy is potty trained and will use a potty pad if she cannot make it outside. She is good with other dogs, cats and older children. Daisy will make a great addition to a family looking for a loving companion.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Daisy is a suggested minimum of $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
