Introducing the Gem Litter. This litter of Kelpie/Pit crosses were born on 11/20/2019. (We were told the mother is a Blue Pit and father is a Kelpie) The pups were surrendered to the shelter when the owner fell ill and the mother dog was not caring for them. We expect these pups to mature at around 45-60 lbs.

The gem pups have been well socialized and are mostly paper trained. We would advise against puppy pads and stick to paper because those puppy pads are so much fun to shred! The pups have been around people of all ages. We have not introduced them to cats. Because they are so young there is still lots to learn! Like wearing collars for instance- you will see in the video below. We used collars for the first time to help identify in the video and the pups were very confused about this new item.

Emerald - Male - red bandana collar - black and white
Pearl - Female - hot pink collar - AKA Tiny - brindle
Diamond - Female - purple collar - black and white
Sapphire - Male - reflective green collar - black and white
Moonstone - Male - green collar - brindle
Jasper - Male - blue collar - tan and white
Opal - Female - grey and black collar - black and white
Turquoise - Male - no collar - brindle
Jade - Female - rainbow collar - brindle

These pups should adapt to homes with other pets and/or children, and all will do best as indoor family dogs. Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic (if fairly short - those legs are tiny) walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. These pups hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet. They will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty!

The pups will be available to go home after 1/30/2020.

All puppies arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
