Introducing Kiska, a brindle hound mix female whose date of birth is estimated to be 9/5/2018. This sweet 40lb girl arrived as a stray, and was never claimed. Kiska is now looking for her new forever home.
Kiska is a very lovable girl who REALLY likes to snuggle. She also loves to run and sniff everything. And we do mean EVERYTHING. She is, after all a hound! Kiska does not seem to have had much obedience and command training, but staff and volunteers are working with her daily, and she is smart so should pick up the basics quickly when she is in a full-time home with a consistent human training partner. She is mostly housetrained (though, as with all newly adopted dogs, you will want to do some basic refresher work when she arrives home, so you will learn to communicate with each other and can understand when she needs to go out).
Kiska, like most hounds, will do best in a home with a fenced yard or with a family who will take her on several leashed walks or jogs a day. She gets along with all people (young and old), cats, and other dogs, and should quickly become a beloved member of the family. Please consider opening your heart and home to this young girl who is looking to be your family’s loving pet!
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Kiska is a suggested minimum of $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
