Luna is a delightful, 71 pound boxer gal, born 2/10/13. She was owner surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her.
Luna is a real charmer with a happy temperament and energy level to please just about any lifestyle. Going for a walk? Great, let’s go. Hanging out? Great, move your feet, I want to lie under your desk, ha ha. The ideal home for Luna will be one where she spends very little time alone. She is a people dog who wants to be wherever you are and wouldn’t really be happy with long periods of absence daily. She rides well in the car and is respectful. She does have a habit of jumping up for affection, whether you are sitting or standing. Luna did not grow up around children (though she has met 8 and 13 yr old boys who she greeted happily) and probably would be best in a home with older dog-savvy children, or no children. Though Luna is friendly with most cats and dogs, she will need a slow introduction as she can be a bit hesitant in trusting new friends.
At Luna's well check it was discovered she had a yeast infection in her ears, and she had cheatgrass removed from her ears under anesthesia, followed by short-term administration of ear ointment (which she did not appreciate, though she does enjoy having her ears rubbed lovingly when there is no medication involved). As a white dog, her eyes tend to show a bit of redness which is increased by a couple of minor skin tags, but the vet indicated there is no treatment necessary.
Luna knows the commands sit, stand, lay down, go to bed, and kennel. Luna is ready for love and snuggles, and you will adore watching her cute little stubby tail wagging with glee. Invite her home today!
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Luna is a suggested minimum of $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
