Meet Brooks and Spring! These two loveable Australian Shepherd/heeler mixes were born 2/8/2019. Brooks and his sister, Spring, were brought into the shelter as “litter leftovers”. Brooks came in at 26lbs and Spring slightly smaller weighing 22lbs. We do not expect these two to be over 45lbs. Here at the shelter the staff and volunteers are working on building the pups confidence, teaching them about life indoors, and what toys are. They have both adapted to the new lifestyle well. Neither pup messes in their kennel or inside the building. They do not show any signs of being big chewers or barkers. These two are not a bonded pair and are ready to find a family of their very own. We are sure you will love them as much as we do!
Brooks - Male with less white on face
Spring - Female with half white face
Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic (if fairly short) walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. These pups hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet. They will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty!
All puppies arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
