Josie, born 4/1/2010, is a 13 lb female Chihuahua cross who was brought to the shelter as an owner surrender. Josie’s family decided to surrender her because they felt that her separation anxiety was more than they could handle.
At the shelter we have not seen any severe anxious behavior. Josie does whine a little when first being put in her kennel but quiets after a few minutes. She has not chewed/destoyed any of her bedding or toys.
The family who surrendered her did indicate that she is a bit of an escape artist. Supervision and/or a securely fenced yard will be necessary for Josie when outdoors.
Josie is a very sweet girl who loves to be with her people. She seems to be content to just be in the same room. She likes to snuggle (humans of all ages), dance for treats and go for walks. She does very well when taken in public. She greets other dogs with friendly curiosity. She seems to be indifferent to cats.
Please consider making Josie your new best friend!
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Josie is suggested minimum $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
