Bella is a beautiful female blue nosed Pit Bull Terrier whose DOB is estimated to be 10-15-16. She currently weighs 53 pounds, but still thinks she is a lap dog. Bella was brought to us by her owners because she and the other resident dog did not get along. It is thought that the family's ever changing lifestyle and multiple moves made Bella quite stressed.
After so much turmoil in her young life, ending with a stay at the shelter, Bella is understandably nervous about new people and new situations. It takes her about 3 minutes and a handful of treats to realize the new person she is meeting is her new best friend (and she has now made MANY new best friends among the volunteers at the shelter, all of whom love this tender, frightened soul). She is slowly getting used to shelter life. Hopefully, she won’t get too used to it before finding her new family! Bella is looking for a steady home where she can be confident in her surroundings, with people who have experience with helping an unsure dog blossom.
Bella wishes to be the only pet in the family - she does not care for cats or other dogs at all - and promises you that, once you let her love you, she will be the only pet you need.
Bella has a high prey drive and enjoys chasing the squirrels in yard. She hopes to find a home with a fenced yard where she won’t lose her way chasing those furry little squeaky toys!
As is typical for pit bulls, who used to be called "nanny dogs" due to their tender and protective nature with children, Bella is great with kids and would do well in a home with respectful children. Bella came from a home with 3 boys ages 9, 7 and 4.
Currently, Bella is on a grain free diet due to a grain allergy, but does not require medication to manage her symptoms.
Please consider opening your home and heart to the sweet girl. She will be the love of a lifetime!
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bella is suggested minimum $95 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
