Rex, born 6/28/07, is a 15 lb terrier cross. This senior boy was brought to us when his elderly owner was no longer able to care for him.
Rex has a few health issues. He is currently taking Levothyroxine for his hypothyroidism. He also has corneal ruptures with corneal scarring. We are currently treating eyes with Optixcare eye lube to see how the eyes do with a soothing aid. His eyes will be rechecked at his dental appointment in early March.
Rex is a sweet boy who gets along with other dogs, cats and children. He is really suited for any type of him. He is not destructive, though he does bark when you first leave and if he hears your voice close by but cannot get to you. Rex really just wants a new forever home where he can be your best friend!
Adoption fee for Rex is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted), or SENIOR FOR SENIOR - adopters over 65 may name their own adoption fee. All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
