Sheba is a 9 year old domestic short haired grey tabby who came to the shelter from a hoarding situation. Unlike most of the pets she came to us with, Sheba is very social and loves to be around people. She enjoys being brushed and petted. If you're in the mood to play, she will lazily bat a string toy for your entertainment. She is really an all around great cat who gets along with other cats and dogs.
Despite the conditions she lived in, the owner did provide her with some medical care. She previously had malignant mammary tumors removed. She was also put on methimazole for her thyroid. When taken to the vet by us, it was determined that her tumors had returned and treatment was not recommended. Sheba is now looking for a permanent hospice foster home to live out her days. The vet estimated Sheba could continue to have a good quality of life for up to a year.
Our hope is to find a foster family who would be willing to share their home and care for this sweet girl for whatever time she has left. Our shelter would cover all costs of Sheba's care including food, medicines, and vet care.
Please consider sending this girl off with the best times of her life.
