Introducing the Black and White litter kittens; they were born at the shelter on 4-4-18 to Delilah, an owner surrender who arrived very pregnant and gave birth within days of her arrival. She was surrendered to the shelter because she wasn’t getting along with other cats at the home where she had arrived one month before as an outdoor only stray. Once the owner realized she was pregnant he felt she needed a safer situation for both her and her future babies so surrendered her to us. Our volunteers are hard at work socializing these cuties, and they should all make wonderful companions for pretty much any type of home. Because they never spent any time outside with their mother to learn street smarts, they are more likely to run TOWARD danger than to save themselves, so should remain indoor-only cats for life.
Holstein is a sweet little girl who is starting to develop more personality everyday. She loves to be held and get snuggles, and really loves to play with her litter mates and any human holding a wand toy. This girl is growing into a wonderful little companion and ready to go to her forever home! If you love to play and snuggle Holstein just might be the one for you!
We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies.”
All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $65 (more gratefully accepted). Discount available for pair adoptions! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
