Bebe is a friendly, curious, long hair kitty born 9-1-14, who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. She wasn't getting along with the other cats in the household so her owner decided to give her up. When Bebe was a kitten she lost her right eye do to an infection, but the eye area appears to fine and she doesn’t let it stop her from exploring and checking out you and her surroundings. Unfortunately, without one of her eyes, it makes her more vulnerable to predators and dangerous situations, so she has always been an indoor only kitty and should remain so. We were told Bebe doesn't like other cats, but we will soon be trying her with some room mates to see if that is still the case. She loves to play with the wand toy, and makes cute little chirping noises as she chases it. Bebe loves attention, but currently doesn't like to be picked up, although seems to be getting a little better about that as can be seen in the pictures. She has very fine long hair, and when she came to us she was terribly matted. We had her mats shaved off (they were impossible to comb out), and now she has a cute lion cut and a sweater to keep her warm. When her hair grows back in she will need to be brushed on a regular basis to ensure she stays mat free. Please consider giving this one eyed wonder a chance to be your kitty and she will reward you with loud purrs and chirps forever.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bebe is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
