Five-year-old Wacousta is a dark gray tabby who was found under a house in Republic. She was extremely emaciated when she arrived at the shelter and is a very nice cat considering her former living conditions.
She is scared easily, so Wacousta needs a loving owner who is willing to take the time to coax her out of her shell. When you enter her room at the shelter, her purr goes into overdrive waiting for someone to give her time. She doesn’t care for dogs, but gets along with other cats when she isn’t napping in her favorite hiding place. She can be spooked easily, so she probably isn’t best suited with smaller children.
Don’t let her appearance fool you. Her colors are unique and make her look a bit grumpy, but underneath is a very nice cat waiting for a good home to cuddle up in.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Wacousta is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
