Rutabaga BW08

Introducing the Garden Veggie litter. These cuties were born at the shelter on 4/25/19, to a semi-feral mom that was part of a colony on which we have been doing trap-neuter-return. Mama came in the day before giving birth, and we are so happy she arrived at just the right time to give her babies the best chance at long, happy lives! All of these kittens were raised by their mom in one of our special wing suites, with lots of attention from all the volunteers. As a result, they are fun, frisky, happy kittens who love to play and who should fit in well in pretty much any family. Because they have never been outside, they have no "street smarts" and are more likely to run TOWARD danger than away from it; this makes them best suited to indoor-only homes, or to homes with leash/harness training and only supervised outings.

These kittens love each other and also get along great with their "adopted brother from another mother" Will (also seen in their video below), so you can mix and match any pair that suits you.

BW08 Rutabaga - Male. Darker grey tabby.
BW09 Radish - Male. Orange.
BW11 Stringbean - Female. Tabby with more brown on her ears and more defined patterns.
BW12 Cauliflower - Female. Lighter grey tabby.
BW13 Zucchini - Female. Tabby with less defined patterns, more ticking in her coat.

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies.”

All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $65 (more gratefully accepted). Discount available for pair adoptions! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
