2/3/15:
Milton sends his wishes and Kisses to everyone. We are settling in. For the first few days he slept and laid by the door. yesterday he discovered the pet bed at the foot of my bed in my bedroom. He comes out we snuggle and chat then when he is done he goes to the bedroom. If I do have to leave him he just passes out and lately I have to call him to meet me at the door.
He is eating pretty good. At first I mixed his food as instructed but it would sit and get soggy. So now he gets one bowl for wet and one for dry and prefers it that way. He takes a bite of one then the other.
He is so happy and silly. You saw the picture of him surrounded by toys. He of course loves the tennis balls the best, He has nine right now.
I noticed his back hips are a little stiff I will get him some glucosamine as soon as I can. He has a funny thing if I am standing in the door way he acts like he wants to come in then buzzes by. But if I stand back he will come right in. I wonder if his other owners were mean to him about coming in?
What time a day do you feed at the kennel and put them to bed. He seams to start getting ready for bed around 7:30 pm. He is not real thrilled about the car yet. But am taking him on mini rides so he sees they are not all traumatic. He met the neighbor dog Lady there good. Though lady liked being the ONLY dog. He came to my chiropractors office to meet her dog and promptly marked the reception desk. (rolling eyes) I had my natures miracle and we treated the spot. No worries we will work on that for sure. At home he has not wanted to mark. He looked like he might upstairs at the neighbors. but we caught him. Any bright ideas or suggestions? Also he really licks his back end. I put the flea stuff on him. It is almost a stress thing I think. You think he still itches from the surgery? Oh yah and the eye medicine (GROAN) I get more on his face than in his eye. But i am doing the best I can. It is not getting worse so that's good.
So as you can tell I have not fallen madly in love yet. (grin) He is not being spoiled and loved and he is not happy either. Thank you again for all of your help and hand holding. He is such a special guy, I am privileged to be his guardian for the rest of his life.

The ride home was uneventful. He met Lady they were both like uh yah hi. He is panty and pacing and really looking for a way out of the yard, He is settling down thanks to the valium I got from the vet. (grin) He also is trying to dig to china in various spots in the yard. He was so anxious I hated to do it but I think it is helping. My chin is almost raw from kisses. He had most of his dinner some good drinks and even a poop in his new yard. So good so far. I also get the feeling any toy with a squeaker in it is going to be toast very soon. He really does prefer being outside so I hope I can convince him inside is good. What a sweet boy and i am sure we will both settle in. He had a little fear of getting in the car but I think we can work it out. Oh also I don't think he has ever been around a tv. when he hears a noise he looks and tilts his head. Thank you again for everything and we were able to transfer the stuff I brought, on him and send the other stuff back. (we did not even let him loose.) He has come in from outside three times to check on me so we are making progress.
