Our little "Saba" has grown so much! she is now over 10 lbs, fearlessly standing up to the feline dictator, and well loved. In fact, I've learned that my meetings with the local police go much better when she joins in. (Tough topics like homeless folks on sidewalks become a lot more tenable).
We are now going outside almost as much as indoors, have met most of the local dogs. Also in the chalk it up to positives, she and my best buddy's dog are a match made in heaven (Border Collie with boundless energy). her eyes are changing to a more brown color- started off olive green. As you see from her photo- has gotten rather leggy- making her puppy gallop more adorable and pronounced.
All the best to you and your wonderful crew.
(BTW- she loves having her photo taken. This is from the ROOTS Facebook Happy St Patrick's Day post)

Our little Miss has two settings- chewy play and sleepy cuddle. We love them both. My daughter is a bit jealous that I get more the sleepy cuddle setting, but she's been getting coaching on how to bring peaceful soft actions to the puppy until she relaxes in her lap- puppy pile style.
Much discussion about names.... everytime one sounds right a few days later it doesn't. I guess that means we are still learning about this precious pup's nature. What we know so far: incredibly social, fearless, and tactile. Seeing the world as her oyster is not only natural for her but it is so much fun for the rest of us.
We are gradually switching her over to Taste of the Wild (Bison formula) after a lot of research. She seems hungry still after the recommended portions, so I've increased it. If ever her ribs disappear, I'll go back down. Vet visit went well but doc curious that her vision may not be A-OK. I'm not too worried as she tracks objects well most of the time.
Potty training a slow process, which means her time at my job is also limited. But the three times she's spent part of the day with me she quickly won over everyone- even two non-dog people. At home she and Rico the cat have a comical balance of interest in each other. At times the cat stalks, in which case puppy either gets clawed or wise to her and thus avoid-ant. At others puppy's persevering desire to make friends and play leaves kitty hitting the nearest exit. At times they have both slept on the bed- not close but at least within sniff range.
Been telling a lot of people about Forget Me Not and our "on-line dating" experience with our new love-pup. You now have more Seattle fans for your role in rescuing this sweet girl.
