10/19/14:
Chewy is doing great, he's crate trained now and growing like crazy. Loves going for walks, we just got in from one actually, and does great with the other dogs and people we see on the way. He's fabulous on the leash too, walks right beside you the whole way, and really good off leash as well. Still likes to jump and climb on people, we are trying to teach him some manners there but it's not quite sinking in, especially when he's super excited.
He's not so sure about the cat yet... Or maybe the cat isn't so sure about him. She's mostly avoiding him while he tries to play, no real altercations though! He's not at all interested in the turtle :-) he isn't super happy about bath time, hoping he will get used to that before he gets too big!
House training is the only issue we are having. It's only been 2 weeks though, and I know he knows its not OK since he sneaks off to do it and then comes back looking guilty, and hides in his crate when I'm cleaning it up. Any advice on how to get past this would be hugely appreciated! We have a good schedule down for most of the day, it seems like we have all the problems in the late afternoon or evenings, its like he's not even trying to hold it in. I think he might actually be scared of the dark.
