She sat and begged people yesterday for food but didn't try to grab any. I didn't want to walk today--but she can run around my house ( no walls) and her favorite "TV" is the back stormdoor (glass)--she is presently whining at a deer out back and sat for 1/2 hour this morning watching the wild turkeys.

What is supposed to be EllieMae's problems--she tried to jump in my lap when I was eating (only 3 times) and doesn't any more. She's decided she's a lap dog with her head on my chest--I let her for about 10 minutes before she gets too heavy. She looks at garbage then looks at me and when I say no she quits. She stops and lets me dry her feet when coming in out of snow ( because she sits on my bed next to picture window). I didn't put her in crate last night and she was fine. Slept next to my feet when I went to bed.

She knows stay and does it for a little bit. I barely pull on leash and she stops. Very smart girl. Makes a clicking sound with her head on the ground smelling when hiking. She got loose from me once because she skipped the four steps and just flew off then porch then and went to neighbors to meet their dog.

We now go out the back door and down the ramp. ( kept the ramp to bring the wood in with the wheelbarrow.) SO GLAD I GOT HER.I am mixing egg with ham into her dog food.

EllieMae and I went on a walk this afternoon. Going down the road, she was right next to my left side ( went right twice but when I moved her-she didn't resist) and then we went up the hill by the old cabin to the first meadow--she was smelling everything, ate some grass, and ate some coyote shit before I even saw it( half to watch better). Had to help her figure out how to go under the tree across the old logging road. Just had to tell her NO- don't eat the bathroom rug BUT one NO and she came to help me type this--laying next to me on the floor---keeps trying to sleep but every time I move she follows me. So far--very well behaved. Only went 2-2.5 miles today--will slowly increase. Maybe two walks a day.
