See attached a photo of Drover and his cats from last night. Edith is on the back of the couch and Savage (Don Benito?) the cat we adopted a couple years ago is next to him. Drover and Savage are best friends… Edith not so much, she always boots him off the couch.

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Drover.   He is the best dog any of us have ever had.  Connie, John and I absolutely adore him.  He has his own end of the sofa, his own bed in our bedroom, and gets to run around and play outside all day long.  His hair is getting longer and more aussie-ish all the time. Such a beautiful dog. And so calm and quiet. He was extremely easy to leash train and is such a happy boy.

He is very good looking…no he is beautiful! We are always getting compliments on our “purebred” Aussie.  I will get you some good photos for the website.  I don’t know if I mentioned but he is blessedly without a herding instinct… he is Mr. Happy Go Lucky and leaves the other animals alone.

That first Thursday night I kinda sorta wished I could take him back, John had a migraine and Drover howled all night and had to go out to pee every hour or two... but then Friday morning John worked with him in the kennel and believe it or not he has been perfectly crate trained ever since. And is now going about 7 hours in the night before he needs a piddle break. He is very tidy and runs far off the side of the yard to do his business...so naturally clean and considerate.

He is the happiest, sweetest and most delightful puppy we have either of us ever had. He is as smart as a whip and loves to stick close by us on walks and hikes. He gets along with all the other dogs and is very easygoing in nature, we have never heard even a tiny growl from him over food or toys or anything.

I am his "main" person, but he loves John almost as much. He loves going in the truck, car and ranger with John.. and he loves his morning and evening hikes that I take him on. I need to take some photos of him soon, he is growing like a weed. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him!
