Amichi is completely integrated into our family. He has close to unlimited outdoor benefits (taught him how to use the pet door a couple of days ago) and he really enjoys it. He has completely calmed down and has trimmed down! He still does not eat a lot but he likes his dry food and always after coming in "visits" Jo and I briefly than has a small amount to eat. He has finally warmed up to Luigi and they are fast becoming friends (see video). Although it was a tough transition, he really enjoys it here and we enjoy him. O, yes he has learned to clime trees! (See video). Never had a cat that was so interested in trees!

Thanks for your inquiry. We call him Amichi, meaning "friend" in Italian. He still is not eating much at all, and is still having some constipation, but we're working on it.

He is a sweet natured little pal, and has learned some of our ways quickly, comes when he is called, sleeps on our bed, and loves to be petted and cuddled. He resisted being picked up initially, but hugs right in when picked up now.

We are slowly introducing him to the outdoors, which of course he likes. He is very good with our 16 year old Grumpy Simon, and defers to Simon as the alpha. Simon, on the other hand has really been good with Amichi, considering that he has little patience or tolerance for other cats in general. They sleep together on the back of the couch without conflict. Luigi, the little kitty next door, is very interested in Amichi, but Amichi is not interested in playing with him, and his shackles go up when Luigi is close by. But Luigi comes over several times a day, hoping, I suspect, that Amichi will accept him as a playmate.

We are blessed to have this little love in our lives and look forward to years of enjoyment.

The drive home was uneventful. Cardinal got a little upset about a half hour before we got home.  He was up most of the night crying for his friends.  But has calmed down now and Simon is even tolerating him.  He likes to watch out the window at birds and squirrels drive him nuts.  Very affectionate and my wife really likes him.  I attached a couple of pic.  Will keep you posted.  Thanks again.
