It's been a while since we've updated you on Apollo so I thought I would let you know how he is!
Apollo is the best dog in the entire universe! I honestly do not think I have ever met a dog with as much personality as Apollo. He is a quick learner and we have so much fun with him every single day. He knows all sorts of commands such as sit, stay, lay down, jump, and even howl (although sometimes I think twice about teaching him that one)! Allen and I still take him to different dog parks around the Seattle area 3-4 times a week because Apollo loves to play with other dogs and never seems to run out of energy! At just over 9 months, Apollo weighs 67 pounds, but still thinks he is a lap dog and takes every opportunity he can to cuddle on top of us. We have continued with the off leash training and Apollo really seems to excel and returns to us on command every time, unless he sees a squirrel. He also surprised us with his kangaroo-like reflexes by jumping over a 5 1/2 foot gate at one of the dog parks we frequently visit! Luckily, he jumped right back over as soon as we called his name! Everyone who meets Apollo instantly falls in love with him and his charming personality.
We honestly cannot thank you enough for bringing this little guy into our lives!
I've attached some recent photos/videos so that you can oogle is his cuteness!

Apollo is doing great! I've been working with him every chance I get to do training. Walking on and off the leash are great. (off leash in controled space where I KNOW he'll be safe.) He always listens and he knows that I'm the alpha. When we first brought him home he would bark and be hyper when I was getting his food ready. I will not tollerate ill behavior from my pup so I have been working with him at every meal. This morning he sat for 15 seconds watching me for the go ahead to eat. He is SOOO smart!!! we couldn't ask for a better pup. Three nights ago I took him to the local dog park to be with other dogs. he did the normal dog sniffing thing and then really just chased the other dogs. Most of the dogs that come are bigger than him (for now) and he gets knocked around a bit but he's proven that he can run with them for the most part. other dogs will chase balls that are thrown and Apollo will chase the dogs down. It's so great to watch! When he gets too rough with a smaller dog, I yell for him to sit and he does no matter how many dogs are around or what's going on. Also, when he's in the distance I've been working on him to come when called. 90% of the time he'll hear my voice perk up and run to me. At first he didn't know to stop running when he got close so he would run into me and knock me over. He slows down now. I have two one minute long videos that I need to figure out how to upload to youtube from my phone and when that happens I'll send you the link. Also, as long as we take him for regular walks we don't have any accidents in the house anymore. It's so nice! He does enjoy chewing on stuff but I know that's a puppy thing and it's making me aware to move stuff around the house to make it harder for him to get into things.
All and all we love him to pieces and he is just the best dog for us. Thank you for helping bring him into our life!!!
