12/19/13:
I wanted to let you know what a joy the tricolour hound, Leroy, has been for me since he has come into my life. I have had one of the most difficult years of my life in 2013 and Leroy has walked with me through it all. It took about a year for him to really settle into our life together, and to be a happy boy who was not so afraid of wind, butterflies, bees and everything else. He will always be a very cautious boy, but he has so much more confidence now, and his health is very good. Thank you, thank you for Leroy, and all the joy and love he has brought into my life, and for all the beautiful work you have done! Many blessings to you now and throughout the upcoming year!6/12/12:
For starters, I adore him. He has only smiled once and has not yet wagged his tail. These things concern me but I know he is happier than he was. Today we were cuddling on the floor with me wrapped all around him and he seemed to really enjoy that. My neighborhood is a real challenge for him in terms of noise and activity so we are going to have to find places to drive to for proper walks. He goes on sensory overload very easily. He also suffers from anxiety, gratefully not the destructive kind; in the car, just the drooling kind. I call him "Ferris Drooler" when he is anxious in the car. He is such a cute boy.
