9/20/12:

Well, I believe Kami and Petra have been with me for three weeks now, and as you can see, Kahlan is much, much more accepting of them and they of her, although there is a bit of jealousy on Kahlan’s part when I play with the kitties.  I got them a laser pointer and they love it. 

9/4/12:

I have once again renamed the new critters.  Kami, Sapphire that was, and Petra, Ruby that was played like maniacs today.  I still have Kahlan on a leash.  I am not sure if she wants to eat them or just give chase, but I have a feeling that this will take a while.  The kitties have no fear of her, but she has that intent Border Collie, high prey drive stare, so I have to keep her on a tight leash for now.  Thankfully, I am able to shut the door of the downstairs bathroom, so the kitties can stay there at night.  I had a houseful of guests yesterday, and Kami and Petra were the main show.  My cousin’s 19 year old son taught the kitties to use the scratching post.  Today, they had just a tiny bit of left over salmon, and they loved it!  Thanks to all the volunteers who spent time with Kami and Petra.
