Lila definitely loves the guys. She has a pit bull mix boyfriend who comes over for play dates occasionally. Whenever we've had a mix in the yard she so obviously favors boys. What a flirt!
Mike the chihuahua does okay with her, but Pete developed an autoimmune disease and he's pretty cranky. Everyone's been doused at least once with a glass of water so now when the fighting starts all I have to do is hold up a glass and they simmer down.
Lila gets in her fair share. She loves to wait until they're asleep under the blankets on the couch and then she grabs the blankets in her teeth and yanks hard. It's hilarious. The sleeping dogs go spinning and then yap at her while she wags her tail at them. I have to get it recorded and on YouTube.

Lila (she just seems to come to that name better) Mike and Pete are all learning how to coexist peacefully - most of the time. I even left her in the living room with them on Thursday and came home to find no casualties - with the exception of a plant, my couch and one of the boys' beds. Lila is a bit of a chewer. My dad's rosary, the only thing I took after he died, was on the couch by her feet. Since it hadn't been damaged, I assumed she praying I wouldn't get mad about the plant and couch.
They will play together occassionally and only for a few minutes, but everyone is making progress. We still haven't been to a dog park, but a couple of play dates are scheduled for next week. The other day when we were out for a walk a woman invited us into her backyard to play with her big dog. That went well also.
Overall, the boys are adjusting to her and she is learning to hold her own with them. She seems to think it's hilarious to poke Mike and make him yap at her.
She really is a love and very bright. She learns quickly and once she grows out of her 'I have to chew everything in sight when I'm bored or upset' phase, she'll be absolutely perfect. (Of course, I tell her she's perfect anyway)

Poor Ella/Stella. She just wants to play, but Pete and Mike are a couple of boring, grouchy old men. Mostly grouchy. They alternate between ignoring her and snarling at her.
This morning Mike the chihuahua roughhoused with her for a bit though. That was hilarious. Earlier she had tried to get him to play and gave him a swat with her paw that sent him half way across the room. That didn't go over well with Mike.
Pete tried playing chase with the balls, but she has to do the chasing. Then when she gets to close he snarls, snaps and takes the balls and hides them under the deck where she can't get them. We only have one ball left and I'm guarding it! I told her I'm going to to take her to a dog park where she can play with real dogs.
She's a sweetheart and does that submissive smile when the boys are mean. Then she grabs one of my shoes and runs off with it. I don't know why she needs my shoes when she's stressed. I keep telling her the rope toy is so much more appropriate.
Even though she's submissive, she's a great watch dog. She stays in the fence and barks at anyone walking by. She's great on a leash when I have her in the harness. I can walk all three at once with no problem.
She's definitely a keeper. ( I might have to give you Pete and Mike, though) ; )
