May, 2011 adopter phone report:

They are really enjoying Duke and he is a "very good dog." He gets along great with other dogs and the three boys in the family. He loves them! And they love him. They gave their chickens to some friends because Duke showed an intense interest in them and they decided to concentrate on bonding with Duke and training him without the chickens around. They wanted to nip any accidents in the bud. They will perhaps bring the chickens back when Duke is a bit older and wiser. Basically they love Duke so much they chose him over the chickens!
