11/21/11:

She is doing much better only accidents are miscommunication on whether she was taken out. She is so attached to my kids she knows the sound of the school bus bringing the boys home from school so she runs to the door to wait for them. She has grown a lot taller as well, she is nearly the same height as Simon. I think back to when we got her and she was so small.

Here is a recent picture of Duquella. We call her Quella as she seemed to learn that faster. She is slowly getting the house training down. We are only having a couple accidents a day, but we have had one day now with zero accidents. Also thank you for the links for the issues they were helpful. She is slowly getting used to it when we have to leave, I found leaving her with Simon made it a little easier for her. Overall we are still working on that issue as well. She is a very smart dog and I know she will get used to things with time.

Things are okay. Trying to teach her not to go potty in the house is a struggle still but hopefully she will get it soon. She does seem to have separation anxiety so I will have to talk with the vet about that, or if you have any suggestions that would be great. Any time we leave for even a few minutes she gets all worked up panting very heavily and then going potty even when she had been taken out prior. Those are the main issues right now. She has tried to get Simon to play and that occasionally goes to far and Simon lets her know. Other than that everyone just loves her. Hopefully we will be able to get through these other issues without too much struggle.

(NOTE FROM SHELTER: Have sent suggestions for both separation anxiety and for adult potty-training, and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for DuQuella)
