Bryan and Emme (Ciudad and Vanilla), 2011 adopted kittens

Here is velvety Bryan. He's very gentle, outgoing, and smart.

Here's Emme, whom I also call Emily Rose. By personality, she reminds me of Charlotte, the daughter of the rich man in "The Princess and the Frog," eminently feminine and strong-willed with a golden heart.

She and Bryan are tightly bonded. They sleep entwined at my feet at the bottom of my bed. She too is gentle and soft to touch. She, more than any kitty of my experience, LOVES to be petted. She's also my Velcro kitty and constant companion.

Kim, are these kitties lucky accidents, or have they been parented to this level of confidence and gentleness? I have a "memory" that you have a particularly good auntie kitty that teaches "living well with humans" to the babies. Is that true? Again, and again, thank you for the work you do and the leadership you provide.
