One of our supporters got to meet Zorro and sent these pictures:

Attaching some more recent pics - as you can see. Hugs not a problem & he lounges on the bed. He does need serious exercising every morning, fortunately he has a serious ball obsession.

Also - wanted to let you know that Zorro really benefits from a quiet environment. There were concerns that he was too wild, but he has adjusted nicely. He is excited during play time & just happy to hang around other times, although he does nose flip your hand up when he needs petting (often). He stayed with a friend for a weekend, and our friend hurt his ankle. He noted that on any walks post injury, Zorro was slow & gentle on a leash.

Wanted to let you & all your wonderful volunteers know how well Zorro is doing. He's adjusting to his new life of leisure. I'm including some pictures. One is a local park we have been taking Zorro to at night, note the fashionable lighted tag and lighted ball. Zorro does have the habit of lying in mud puddles when he gets warm from fetching.

Zorro likes looking out the front window by sitting on the extra dining room chair.

We have been taking him to dog parks on Lake Washington once or twice a week. He chases balls in the lake for approx an HOUR. He's learned sit, stay & lie down (unless there is a squirrel nearby). He's also gotten much better on a leash. He's to the point that he's great 80% of the time or better on leash. He's good around dogs, CATS. But still gets out of hand around birds & squirrels (especially squirrels). I learned an interesting facts from a blind friend. The number one reason dogs fail seeing eye dog training is ... squirrels.

Zorro & I walk him to my son's school 2 days a week & he's great around kids & chaos. He has the run of most of the house & we've had very few problems (mostly around stuffed animals).

Thank you for saving and working with such a sweet & loving dog. Mac's teacher calls him cutie patootie. My son LOVES him, well, we all do. Hard to see how we got along without him.

I'm a poor writer & an even worse photographer. But wanted to let you know how well he's adjusting & how much we love him. An extra big thank you to Susan for helping me with a million questions during the first week or two. The frozen peanut butter/kong was a big hit.
