Adopted June 2010

6/21/10:

So far so good, the first few days were a bit rough because she had an upset stomach. She also was clearly an outside dog, I had to pick her up and bring her in the house.

She's better now, definitely not at much enthusiasm as most dogs (I do like enthusiasm), but I guess that means she'll be good with kids down the line.

She's fine on food, we've been mixing in a bit of tuna with the food so she'll be more inclined to eat it. She's already looking better weight wise, she was too thin when we got her.

She didn't like our faux hardwood floor (a bit slippery for her at first), to get her over it we had to put a harness on her and force her to walk around the kitchen/livingroom/hallway around and around until it became no big deal and she figured out how to not slip. She would be scared to go onto the floor when we got there, but eventually it would get better and better and now she's totally fine with the floor.

In general her stomach issues I think are resolved, though she doesn't poop anywhere near as much as the dogs my friends have did, which is a bit of a concern but she doesn't seem to be suffering from anything. She seems to be in perfect health now.

The only time I've gotten her to run around is if you can get her to try and paw you while she's on her tummy then run away when she does. That's the kind of enthusiasm my friends dogs (chocolate lab/malamute) had more of.
