Abby has quite the fan base! Today, for example, she got taken on walks by two different customers. She is now stretched out on the floor of the shop trying to cool down in front of the fan.
I appreciate all you do and have sent many people your way, as most people are so impressed with Abby's temperament, they want to try to find her clone!

Abby is doing great. Truly, she is a fantastic dog and my shop customers love her. In fact, she has some fans that just come in to see her! I am so impressed with how sweet she is with kids.
I haven't started classes with her yet, but contacted a few trainers and looked into some classes so hopefully will be moving forward with that shortly. I just got back from Port Townsend visiting some friends with her yesterday and we spent most of the day hiking along a beach with her chasing seagulls, diving into the Sound, and following bird trails up and over boulders and hills. She had a ball!
Thanks for checking in and I will post more photos soon. She is adjusting beautifully.

Abby made it to me in North Bend looking confused but overall like she'd weathered the trip quite well! I took her for a small hike right away, as we were near the mountains in North Bend. She was great on the trail, if only a little too friendly & interested in other people & dogs passing. I can see she'll make a great hiking buddy! Now we're home getting to know each other.
I bought her a kong with attached rope and we've been playing tug of war and fetch with it. After awhile, she ran down the hall and got her squirrel that I'd shown her previously and joyfully played with that. Now she's not sure what to do! We went for a short walk when she gave little barks at the door because I thought she might need to pee, but she didn't and is now doing those little barks at the door again. I think she's just not sure what to do with herself or why she's here yet! I can see we'll be fast friends! And we have a lot to learn about each other. She's a loving dog and sweet as can be.
Thank you for taking such good care of her!
