Maddie is doing awesome! I've attached a few pictures because I'm shameless when it comes to showing her off. Yuri and I recently got married and our venue did not allow dogs so we got a little creative finding ways to include her. There's also a picture of Maddie with a dolphin on her head just because she can :)

Maddie is doing great! She's so easy to train! We have started working on some agility stuff this week and she has the hurdles and pause box down pat. Weave poles are still confusing and the balance beam is a little scary but I'm sure in a few weeks she'll have it. She is honestly just a really great dog. At my clinic she has become some sort of puppy socializer. All of the puppies who came in for vaccines and check ups go outside and play with her to learn how to play with other dogs. Some days she has as many as 3 different groups to come and see her! Everyone seems to love her!

Several months ago we finally went a head and got one of those doggie DNA tests that uses a blood sample to see what breeds make her up. It came back 50% unknown meaning it was too dilute to tell (it goes back to great grandparents) and 25% border collie and 25% plott hound. When people ask us what kind of dog she is we still just tell them that she's our "Shelter Special".

I wanted to send over some new pictures of little Miss Maddie or Spyder. She loves riding in the car and is a constant fixture on our sofa as you can see. :) We are also starting some new training classes tonight which we are very excited about!

Just wanted to give you a little update on Maddie. She started training last week and was pretty distracting for the teacher. She sat very nicely up front and every few words the teacher said she would tilt her head like she was saying "What a good idea! I never thought about that before!" so the teacher had to keep stopping beca stopping laugh at her. She such a fast learner and such a sweet heart.

I can't thank you guys enough for taking such great care of Maddie. She fits into our little family like she's been here for years! Maddie and our little 19 week old kitten, Moose, can't get enough of eachother! She has even won the heart of my mother who right now is in the process of making Maddie several coats so she won't be cold at night. We try to take Maddie to the dog park every night so she can meet new dogs and play with her friends, her favorites being a little puggle and a 90 lb doberman! She is so incredibly smart she already knows how to 'sit' 'come' 'wait' and 'leave it'! We are waiting to start classes until we get back from our camping trip.

Attached are some pictures of Maddie at the dog park and playing with our lead vet's pitbull.

I just wanted to let you know that Maddie/Spyder is doing great so far! She's been making doggie friends at the park and the clinic I work in. She is so sweet and so smart! Yuri and I were wondering where and who we can address a thank you card for her foster family. It's very obvious that whoever fostered her did a really great job and we'd like to thank them.

Thank you!
