Adopted May 2009

2/8/10:

I can't believe that the puppies will be a year old in about a week. Boy time flew and they are so big now. Both are potty trained now especially at night and knows that they both need to wake us up if they need to go in the middle of the night. Both are still sleeping in our bedroom especially Keon, he just seems to like to be where I am at. He is my little shadow and he has a very interesting way of greeting people when they enter our home. He gets quite vocal. Bell is now slightly taller and longer than ginger. All 3 have a very interesting dynamics, they seem to know each others limits. Bell is much more calmer, more of a homebuddy while Keon can keep up with ginger and my husband on their runs. We are very blessed to have them both, they always make me laugh after coming home from a long shift at work. I am greeted with talks and tons of kisses from all of my 4 legged kids. It is sometimes a challenge to walk all 3 but for the most part is good for the soul. I see that you are in the process of finishing up with the shelter. It looks great! I am also glad to see that the last of Bell & Keon's sibling, Ancho is finally adopted. He looks a little like Keon except not quite as chubby. Thank you again for all your help. Will keep you posted definitely in the many more years to come.

Just want to update you on Bell and Keon. Both are doing great including Ginger, they are now definitely a pack as you can see. Ginger lets them tug on her most of the time but when both gets a little too much, she will let them know. Keon is looking like a purebred black lab and Bell looks just like a Newfoundland. Keon got his shiny black lab hair now with still a hint of his baby hair while Bell's hair got a little thicker and longer. They are doing much better on the leash during walks, except when it is too hot. Both are respectively 33 pounds and counting. Bell just recently got Giarrdia so she is on antibiotics for a week, but she looks like she is feeling better with no more diarrhea. Here are some recent pics from the last 2 weeks. We are hoping to get in contact with the other 2 siblings (cayenne and cherry) so they can all be together again. Have a great summer.

5/8/09:

Just sending you some pictures of Bell and Keon. I am so glad that we adopted the two of them, cause they seem to hit it off great and they tire each other out fairly quick. Ginger is getting more comfortable and she is starting to play with them when it is not raining outside. She seems a little bit more cautious cause the first time she stepped on one of the pups and let out a big squeal. She is acting like a big sister. My daughter is in heaven and always look forward to coming home from school. We found out that Bell gets car sick and vomits if she eats anything before hand which reminds me so much of our dear Kemp. Keon is just a rambunctious one always tackling Bell when playing. He is also such a sweet boy always happy to see us. Thank you again for such a smooth process with the adoption.
