Adopted December 2008

11/30/09

It is coming up on a year date since we adopted GWEN "Love Sister"....
Our lives are so much richer since the addition of our little love bug into our lives.

We do some dog sitting for friends and Gwen does lovely with the others.
I can't express how much she has filled our lives with joy, fun and love!

We even took a trip to Portland this summer and reunited her with her sister Wendy!
At the local dog park they got into a quick game of herding the other dogs in place.

Also we took her to EWETOPIA in Roy, WA were she tried her paw at herding 3 EXTRA LARGE sheep
around the pen with the experienced herder who held a thin PVC pipe to guide the dog.
Gwen went nuts barking the whole 10 min. She even did a little flossing....

Love you folks out there and congratulations on the new buildings....

Hey Forget me not, WE LOVE OUR DOG!!! She is so wonderful and we keep in touch with sister Wendy in Portland...
Thanks a bunch and know that we love and walk her as much as possible. She is a born herder - chasing her girlfriends around and doing the bark command, nipping at their legs.  No injuries...

12/23/08, a letter from Gwen to her sister-doggie Wendy:

I really like living with my two humans. They spoil me with hugs and kisses, take me for walks in local parks and let me sit on them! One of my favorite things to do is sit in the snow and wait for squirrels or cats. Sometimes they call me Greta, their old dog and I am ok with that since I know we are all a good fit. Wendy - I hope you are liking your trip to CA and get to see the surf of that big water called "ocean". As I have snow on your nose perhaps you have sand on yours. I am in heaven!
Your sister, Gwen

12/15/2008:

I kept thinking of you today and how wonderful this has all turned out! I fell in love with Gwen when I saw her in the back of the van. She is such a sweet girl. She met up with a small group of dogs at the dog park this cold morning and she was a bit unsure but warmed up pretty fast. She is such a wonderful addition to our home, we keep smiling all the time.
Neighbors came by to welcome her. All I can say is that it truly is a great match and that my experience with all of you wonderful shelter people has been such a positive one. I will surely spread the word on how efficient, organized and professional working with you has been.

Thank you for making this such a easy adoption, we will care for Gwen the very best we can, I promise.
