Adopted locally by a super lady, 01/07

1/30/07 - Adopter has renamed Onyx Sheba, as in Queen of Sheba, because she rules the roost. Sheba likes to drink running water from a faucet (we recommended one of those cat fountain waterers). As Sheba has become more comfortable in the home, she has begun exhibiting unwanted scratching behavior and some overstimulation biting, both of which are retrainable behaviors. We have shared our favorite tips with the adopter, including putting tape sticky-side out on the off-limits scratching targets, and techniques for gradually increasing Sheba's overstimulation tolerance. For these and other tips, feel free to ask - we are happy to share our "secrets" with the world! Sheba sleeps sometimes with the adopter, and sometimes with the adopter's granddaughter. She is very loved and is a "keeper"!

1/12/07 - Adopter reports Onyx is fitting in beautifully, just the right combination of independence and affection. Has not decided on a new name yet.
